Join members and friends of North Carolina Association of Launderers and Cleaners (NCALC) on January 27-29, 2023 for the NCALC 2023 Winter Meeting at the Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel.
This event will feature professional networking, group dinner social events, business meetings of the NCALC Board of Directors and Committees, and opportunities for everyone to have fellowship with other participants and to enjoy other activities in the Charlotte area.
We are extending a special invitation and member pricing to cleaners who are not currently members to join us to meet our members and learn more about membership in NCALC.
What: The NCALC Board of Directors will be holding its regular Winter Board Meeting, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Renaissance SouthPark Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Plan now to come early, stay late, and enjoy other activities in the Charlotte area. In addition to business meetings of the NCALC Board of Directors and Committees, this event will feature professional networking, group dinner social events, opportunities for everyone to have fellowship with other participants and to enjoy the planned group outings or other activities in the Charlotte area. The Friday reception and dinner and our group activities on Saturday morning will be in the hotel.
Optional Outings: Several optional outings are already planned for our Winter Meeting registrants. Advance registration is required.
· Drycleaning Plant Tour --A tour of the Jones Dry Cleaning plant in Charlotte is planned for Friday afternoon.
· Tiger World Outing -- On Saturday afternoon, participants will carpool ~50 miles to Rockwell, NC, stopping for lunch at Gary’s Bar-B-Cue in China Grove on our way to tour the Tiger World endangered wildlife rescue and preserve. This preserve is home to ~100 animals, including two dozen tigers and a dozen lions. Participants will be responsible for their own lunch expense and ~$8 entrance fee at Tiger World.
· Dine-A-Round Dinner -- For our Saturday evening Dine-A-Round dinner outing, participants will be selecting from several nearby local restaurants. We will have advance group reservations and participants will be responsible for their own dinner expense.
Who: All activities are open to all NCALC members and friends (including spouses and significant others) with advance registration. All members of the Board of Directors and committees are expected to attend at least the Saturday morning meetings.
When: The Board and committee meetings will begin at 8am Saturday morning at the hotel following a networking breakfast. The Board meeting is expected to end by Noon, at which time everyone is free to participate in our optional outing to Tiger World or for lunch and other activities on their own. We will meet at 630pm on Friday and Saturday evenings for the dinner functions. Additional details will be provided to event registrants.
Accommodations: A small block of rooms is being held for our group at the Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel, 5501 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28209 until January 6, 2023. After that time, unreserved rooms will be released for general sale. Reservation requests after that date may be accepted at Hotel’s discretion based on space and rate availability. Our group rates for lodging are $160 per room per night. These rates are subject to current taxes. - 730 am - Networking Breakfast
- 800 am - General Session - Freewheeling discussion facilitated by NCALC President Chris Edwards, on what you need to grow your business, control costs, provide a better product for your customers, and become more profitable and how NCALC could help.
- 930 am - Board and Committee meetings
- Noon - Flexible afternoon for group outing to Tiger World or other fun activities (e.g., shopping, etc.) on your own.
- 630 pm - Dine-A-Round group dinner outing
Sunday (1/29/23)
- No planned group activities.
- Individual departures or outings on their own
