NCALC 2025 Winter Meeting
Advance Registration is Required for Each Individual Attendee
What: North Carolina Association of Launderers and Cleaners (NCALC) will hold its regular Winter Meeting January 31- February 2, 2025, in Durham, North Carolina for planned education, professional networking, association business meetings, and social functions.
Who: All NCALC members, friends, and spouses are encouraged to participate.
Where: On Saturday, February 1, the planned education, networking, and the business meetings of the NCALC standing committees and Board of Directors, will be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park, 4700 Emperor Blvd, I-40 at Exit 282 (Page Road), Durham, NC 27703. Dinner social outings are being planned for both Friday and Saturday evenings for attendees to enjoy fellowship with other attendees and to experience local restaurants.
Accommodations: A small block of hotel rooms has been reserved for our group at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park, 4700 Emperor Blvd, I-40 at Exit 282 (Page Road), Durham, NC 27703.Our group rate is $119 per night for reservations made by January 6, 2025.

Friday, January 31
- Early arrivals for individual fun activities
- 5:15-6:00 pm Gathering in the Sheraton lobby to carpool to nearby Page Road Grill Restaurant for group dinner outing.
- 6:00 pm Group Welcome Dinner Social Outing at nearby restaurant Page Road Grill.
Saturday, February 1

Educational Session(s):
The NCALC Education and Training Committee Chaired by Larry Hill (Dandy Drycleaners & Laundry) is planning an informative educational program. Sessions include:
Insurance for Dry Cleaners -- David Barber (Owner/Partner, Barber Insurance Agency) will give an overview of insurance for businesses in today's environment and also go into specific insurance related issues that affect Dry Cleaners as Dry Cleaners do have some very unique coverage needs that separates them from other businesses.
Fire Inspection -- Larry Hill (Dandy Drycleaners & Laundry) will share his experience with a mandated fire inspection of a dry-cleaning machine and what to expect when it happens to you.
Environmental Update -- Representatives of NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) Division of Waste Management will share updates on the Dry-cleaning Solvent Cleanup Act (DSCA) cleanup program and other activities pertinent to our members.
Dinner Social Outings: Our dinner outings are designed to give our Winter Meeting participants opportunities for informal networking and fellowship while enjoying some of Durham's favorite restaurants. On both evenings, participants can gather in the Sheraton Imperial lobby bar area to car pool to our nearby restaurants to meet our group for dinner.
On Friday evening, our entire group will meet at 6:00pm at Page Road Grill, located at 5416 Page Rd, Durham, NC 27703. Participants must register for this Friday evening dinner of Southern Cuisine that has been pre-arranged for our group. The cost of this dinner is included in the registration fees. Expense for drinks is participant responsibility.
For Saturday evening, our entire group will meet at 6:00pm at Mez located at 5410 Page Rd, Durham, NC 27703. The menu at Mez features traditional Mexican recipes with a modern, healthy twist, and uses locally grown organic products whenever possible. Participants will be responsible for their own bill for dinner and drinks at the outing.
